SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme sassa status [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a sassa result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services position established for intervention experiences a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to allow the servicing of all clients and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
